Areas of expertise are with sexual identity, gender transitioning, navigating genderqueer and gender variant relationships, family or origin issues, depression, anxiety, negotiating open relationships and polyamorous relationships, exploring sexuality, BDSM, kink, cheating, substance use, and compulsive behaviors. Also extensive experience with health conditions as they impact mental health such as diabetes, HIV, serodiscordant relationships, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis.
My clinical approach and interventions integrate various theoretical frameworks, such as Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Strengths Theory, Behavioral Activation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Systems Theory, Feminist Theory, and Motivational Interviewing.
