Room and Board Responsibilities: Nathalie Salmon House, 7320 N. Sheridan, Chicago

The RA pays a rent of $500 month in exchange for a sun-filled Studio apartment. This consists mostly serving or clearing up lunch or dinner on a weekend, and 1-2 holidays a year. The RA position is designed to allow the individual to work part-time or go to school outside of H.O.M.E.
Duties include:

• Cook or otherwise provide at least one lunch or dinner a week, on average, for about 8-12 residents

• Play a strong role in fostering an intergenerational community by participation in outings, activities, eating and socializing with residents.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Basic cooking skills.

• Valid driver’s license in good standing (preferred).

• Experience working or volunteering with seniors a plus.

• Willingness to work at least one year.
